We have modified the "Member Directory" link. In order to access this new link, you must be logged into the website. Only members can view a member's profile. I believe you will agree the new member directory is a vast improvement over the prior link. We are planning to keep in place our current maintenance policy of the member directory, which is as follows; each society president or designee will initially authorize or set up new members, and then the COPAS office will supply new members with a login and password, and any subsequent updating of a member's profile will be the responsibility of the individual member. A member's profile will consist of his or her name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, company name, etc. The website developers are working on the maintenance section of the website, so we cannot do any maintenance at this time. Please advise your members accordingly of the updated member directory link and maintenance plan. Thank you all for your continued support. Cheers, Steve Irizarry Executive Director COPAS, Inc. 877-992-6727 Important Information on PASH Membership Dues: In light of delays and disruption as a result of Hurricane Ike, the PASH Board has approved extension of the PASH membership dues payment receipt date until October 15th.

Your PASH Board The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources is having its third Louisiana oil and gas seminar entitled "Louisiana Oil & Gas: From SONRIS to Sunset" on September 22-23, 2008 in New Orleans at the Marriott at 555 Canal St. The discounted preregistration price of $360 is good through September 1, 2008 after which time the price increases to $410. For registration information, go to www.regonline.com/oilandgas2008 Many thanks for your support and sympathies in this difficult time. Some of you have expressed an interest in making donations to different entities within the cancer community: For those wishing to make donations, we ask that you consider the below option. We would like to prevent/limit donation funds from being used for new hospital beds, construction, etc. Rather, we would hope to channel that money towards grass roots cancer research. Below is an e-mail from Dr. Robert Newman for specific donation funds that are directly related to mesothelioma research. Unfortunately mesothelioma is rare and receives little attention in research, thus at this time no explicit research fund is available. Source: Dr. Robert Newman, MD Anderson Cancer Research, Professor of Cancer Medicine - I am attaching a general "Mail In" donation form that can be used. I strongly recommend also enclosing a letter to the MDACC Development Office indicating how you wish your donation to be used. I am also attaching "below" suggestions for phrasing of that letter. No matter how you wish the money is used, I thank you for thinking of MDACC and for your donations. I have spent the last 24 years trying to prevent and treat these diseases and I have seen real progress made over that time. Your donations will make a difference.- __________________________________________________________ .If you would like to make a donation to cancer research in memory of Dennis Martin Porath, please open the attachments below, which contain the donation election form & the mail-in donation form, and mail them to the address shown on the mail-in donation form. Thank you! Attachment: MD Anderson Cancer Center Mail-In donation form.pdf Attachment: Donation election form.doc
