Karla Zawodny, PASH BOD President 2020-20
Welcome back for the 2020-2021 PASH year! I’m excited for the upcoming year and I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Board Members, Committee Chairs and all of the individuals that volunteer their time to keep us moving forward. Without the dedication and support of volunteers, we couldn’t exist. New to the group or interested in being more involved? I encourage you to reach out to me or one of the other PASH leaders, there is always an open opportunity.
We’ll be starting the PASH year off flexing our virtual muscles with online meetings via Zoom. This has given us the opportunity to stagger the committee meetings and allow members to maximize on the meetings they are able to attend. Keep an eye on the newsletter for specific dates and times for each committee. I’m grateful that we have technology that allows us to come together safely to conduct our business, socialize and stay connected. This year we are embracing flexibility while planning for the future. We are striving to provide members with a quality experience by thinking outside of the box for events like virtual happy hours. PASH is proud to be hosting the 60th Anniversary COPAS Spring 2021 national meeting at the San Luis Resort in Galveston, Texas. The planning committee is hard at work making this a memorable event. The Education and Picnic Committees are also planning Education Day and annual picnic events for May which are always member favorites.
Knowledge sharing and building lasting relationships are two things that help us grow as individuals and also two of the greatest benefits of being a PASH member. Let’s continue to cultivate our relationships and share our experiences with others. Invite your colleagues to join you for a meeting to share what our society has to offer and encourage them to become a member. Everyone has something great to contribute.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to me or any of your fellow PASH members. We’re here to work together towards success!
Wishing you the best,
2020-2021 PASH President
