Membership Types

Regular Member
A person who has met the requirements for membership including active involvement in petroleum accounting in a supervisory, administrative, technical, managerial or executive capacity. Payment of annual dues entitles the member to membership in COPAS as well as PASH, nine dinner meetings including social hours, all technical sessions and committee participation for the fiscal year from June 1 through May 31.  Regular members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Society including the right to vote and be elected to the Board of Directors of the Society.

Associate Membership
Any college or university accounting professor having active association with Petroleum Accounting may become an Associate Member of the Society. Also eligible for Associate Membership are: Participating Members in good standing who would otherwise be forced to leave the Society due to their change in employment status. Other professional individuals actively associated with petroleum industry accounting matters (i.e. Engineering Executive signing contracts having COPAS rates and document references). Associate members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Society except the right to vote or be elected to the Board of Directors of the Society.

Honorary Member
Any member, past member, or other dignitary who has a record of exceptional service to the Society or Petroleum Accounting may be elected to honorary membership in this Society by the Board of Directors. Honorary members shall be exempt from the payment of dues, and shall be entitled to all privileges of the Society except the right to be elected to the Board of Directors of the Society

Retired Member
Any member in good standing who has attained age fifty-five (55), been an active member in COPAS for the past five consecutive years and is no longer Actively Engaged in Petroleum Accounting shall be entitled to remain a member of the Society by payment of annual dues as set out in Article IX, Section 2. Retired members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Society except the right to be elected to the Board of Directors of the Society

Guests
Guests of members are always welcome. The guest fee will be paid by the PASH member during registration for the meeting/event.  Guests do not have the right to vote or be elected to the Board of Directors of the Society.
